Missoula County opposes House Bill 220 - Revise election laws for county commissioners, before House State Administration tomorrow morning. The current election law provides citizens of each district to have a say in their county government every two years on Election Day. HB 220 limits that opportunity to once every six years. Additionally, HB 220 would encourage county commissioners to favor projects and services in one particular districts, as opposed to ensuring the commission considers the public health, welfare and safety of the county as a whole. Please oppose HB 220.
Respectfully, Dale Bickell on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
