Representative Bennett, Representative Gursky requested Missoula County communicate its position on House Bill 558 - Revise road laws related to aggregate stabilization. HB 558 sets a formula for aggregate stabilization in statute. We find it unusual that this formula would be statutory rather than be set in the rule-making process. However, the language does not seem to apply to county roads based on the codification. We remain neutral on this bill, despite our confusion about establishing a formula for aggregate in law.
