"The legislation is patterned after legislation in North Dakota, the intent is to allow donations by private corporations and individuals to a housing fund as defined in the act. These donors will receive a tax credit on the donor's state income tax, whether it be corporate or individual tax returns. North Dakota has raised several million dollars through the legislation in place there. " -Jim Morton
Missoula County supports House Bill 611 - Create housing incentive fund that includes tax credit for donations, before House Taxation this morning. HB 611 could assist Missoula County and our partners as we move toward implementing Missoula's plan to reduce homelessness as outlined in Reaching Home - Missoula's 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness. Please support HB 611.
Respectfully, Dale Bickell on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
