Missoula County supports the Governor's amendments to Senate Bill 19 - Define combined appropriation for exempt wells, before the Senate this afternoon. As proposed, SB 19 adversely impacts existing water right holders, cities and towns, counties, the agricultural community and other entities. The Governor's proposed amendments are an excellent compromise protecting all water users without compromising the rights of senior water right holders or the quality and quantity of our drinking water supplies. Please vote to concur with the Governor's amendments.
