  1. "Needs strong support from the Missoula delegation for $600,000 in mining reclamation grants in the Nine Mile Valley. This is part of an on-going program that partners Missoula County with state, federal and private sector entities."

  2. Sent the following to Missoula Reps:

    Representative Coffin,
Missoula County supports House Bill 7 - Reclamation and development grants, before the House on 2nd reading this afternoon. HB 7 includes two critical mine reclamation grants in Missoula County in the Nine Mile Valley. These grants provide assistance with the removal of harmful residues from historic mining activities in the headwater streams of the Nine Mile drainage. These grants also provide employment for contractors, infuse additional money into the economy, protect fisheries, and promote healthy forest restoration along streambanks. Please support HB 7.
    Respectfully,
Dale Bickell on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
